Thanks for the comments--I am anxious to get some riding done--I only had it out once this year--and that ride ended with me towing it home due to a charging problem that I traced to a corroded plug coming from the stator--had to do some re-wiring now it is charging like a champ.
fingpilot--I may PM about the parts--just no money right now with an upcoming wedding--and you are right, it will never be "done"
BlueSky--Funny you should mention that--the Dunstall seat I have is from Carpy--it is a nice piece--and the local upholstery shop did a GREAT job of fabricating a snap-on cover and seat foam--it looks great, I still need to mount the tailight and paint it, and install a set of SS hinges so it is functional--I'm definately putting it on the 78--as that sissybar and king and queen seat are disco-era crazy.
Nader--It actually isn't bad with the clubmans and the stock controls. With that seat I can sit back and it makes a nice ride. I really like the way the clubmans changed the profile of the bike--I hated the stock bars and mirrors--see the 78 as an example of how the 76 used to look.
I will be posting pics of the 78 when that project begins...
