You are not missing anything. I just bought "that" SC. It took me a two year search. The car I bought was in fact advertised at least twice before I went to see it so people weren't exactly beating a path to it. It was clean and had been well loved. In the time that I looked, only a few cars met my standards.

For the money I was willing to part with, only one did and I bought it. There really are not a lot of these cars in existance and you will find that some people think they are pretty special. To find a solid SC in a sub 15k price range is surprisingly difficult.

The answer is time. If you can't wait, you can find solid cars but you will probably need to pay more. Do yourself a favor and don't buy a car just becuase it is cheap. You will regret it.
