I'd like to see a retrofit digital back for the best film cameras (F5, F4, F3, R3, OM1, F1, etc).

Or better yet, a cassette the size of a roll of film plus leader, that contains a full frame image sensor, flash memory, and battery. Drop it in the camera, close the back, and fire away. Status indicator visible through the little window that shows the roll info, or wireless to a little remote display. The biggest technical problem I see is that an image sensor is thicker than film, even though there is the pressure plate spring thickness to work with. This would be expensive, those are very costly chips, but you could move it between cameras.
