Good on ya!

Nicely done!

That's exactly the model and color and year that turned my attention towards BMW when I was shopping for a new bike last year. Of course, while I was doing my research, someone with either more knowledge or chutzpah bought it out from under me. I'm happy for him of course. But with my search narrowed, I was prepared to buy what I have - and I'm more than satisfied too. Although, I did seriously consider a 2004 R1200C Montauk for a week but I just couldn't get comfortable on it... it had a strange ugly beauty though.

I truly believe that the R1100S is a classic... an iconic BMW. Great lines and all the things that experienced bikers either have or wish they did (shaft drive, ABS, heated grips, under-seat exhaust, teutonic engineering, etc.).

Congratulations on a purchase that is both wise and exciting!!

You'll enjoy this Pelican board - and I suggest that you also drop by Boxertrix.com to meet up with another large body of S-bike enthusiasts across the pond.

Cheers,
Ian
