You think $150 is a lot to see two living legends who probably ain't gonna be touring much longer? I dunno. I remember when the Eagles were getting north of $100 for their Hell Freezes Over tour and everyone thought it was scandalous. But watch that concert DVD and tell me it wasn't worth it. Besides, their fans are older and can afford it. My first Van Halen show in 1986 cost me $17.50. I still have the ticket stub. Last time I saw them in 2007, I paid $70 at the box office an hour before the show and got seventh row, front and center. I wouldn't pay $150 for just anyone or for lame seats. But give me first couple rows for my favorite band's likely last tour and, yes, I'd pay it.

My wife took me to Vegas for my b-day last year to see Rush, but didn't buy tix in advance, as I always do well with scalped tix. Sure enough, we were looking for tix in front of the hall and some guy had super seats for $300 each. I said that was just too much for my blood. He said, "Well, what did you have in mind?" I said, "About half that." He said, "Ok, I can do it." So we did pay $150 per, but the seats were amazing, right up front.
