You would think that this would be the logical thing to do but when my 996 got tapped and I needed an estimate, the shop that BH Porsche/Audi recommends are a bunch of scumbags. I can't imagine what kind of deal they worked out w/ the dealer to become their "official" body shop, and in fact they might do high-quality work but they are as sketchy as they come.
They wanted me to sign a bunch of docs basically signing over any insurance $$ to them before they would do an estimate. The adjuster told me privately to be
really careful what I signed with those people.
