Heh heh. BIL's car isn't hurt too badly. (It's my sister's that has some damage.) His rear bumper was scuffed up already before his accident and it doesn't look too much worse, now. Though he's a bit bummed at having had two no-fault accidents in the past week.

This is the same A4 that was stolen a few years ago while he was living in Koreatown. Living in an apt, he parked his car on the street. He took the subway to work, so he might not have missed the car for a day or two. In the meantime, the car had been used as a getaway vehicle for some convenience store robberies. A bunch of unpaid parking tickets also accrued during that period of automotive AWOL. Ultimately the car was recovered and returned to him. But it took him almost a year for the DMV and various police jurisdictions to get those things wiped off his and his car's record, during which time he had no plates on the car--just a series of temporary tags.
