If you actually dyno test mufflers most of the aftermarket exhaust systems lower the bhp to the rear wheels. At best you'll only drop 2 or 3 bhp. I've seen some drop 15 bhp from the stock system.
The modern exhaust system is really well engineered. The factory does know something about engineering.
