Clipping coupons is rarely worth my time. For virtually all things, I get better deals going online than I would by wasting my time with such things. There are a few exceptions, but in general I shop online and get pretty good deals for most things.
If I can buy something second-hand (cars, car parts, computer stuff, electronics, etc.) I do. Saves a ton. Depreciation is for bigger suckers than interest is.
Another BIG way to save is to DIY for everything you can. I don't think I've spent a dollar to a mechanic in 10+ years. I prefer to fix my own stuff anyway.
Another thing is that - as a general rule - if someone markets to ME, I don't buy their goods or use their services. I prefer to seek out and find the people I want to do business with. Marketing and advertising are (to me) big turn-offs and I typically don't reward them. Deliberately. And I get better deals as a result (research and word-of-mouth reference counts for a lot more than slick, self-promotional marketing brochures).

Pretty much +1 on everything here, except for the coupons. Since I now live alone and have to buy my own groceries, a few minutes spent with the Sunday newspaper ads and I can save a lot of money on the food I buy every week.
