I have come close in the Porsche... warning signs pointed to the tires giving up and I "backed off" (note - did not say LIFT). This was also in good traction conditions where the warnings came early.
Of course, if it was wet then I wouldn't be driving that hard.
I am looking forward to taking the car out to an empty parking lot after I move and forcing a spin  after a good rainstorm. Controlled conditions and all. Its a little hard in LA to find empty lots that are suitable... an it never rains.

Just lift going into any turn at slight speed, and I have to agree with Milt, if you have never spun a 911, clearly you haven't driven it hard enough...
