I've had Burmese Pythons( largest were over 12' 80lbs) in the past and they are fairly timid animals 'cept when it comes to dinner time. I've also been bit several times by them but they were just "warning shots" and not out for food strikes. They are very interesting animals with a lot of personality but you would have to be a moron to have them around babies or someone who isn't familiar with them and how to handle them.
