Tabs's Daddy
My Daddy is a SAINT....He is a SCIENTIST...
My Daddy bought me a Porsche after HS...cause I was driving his so much he didn't get to drive it....
My Daddy is very intelligent and well educated graduating from Cass Tech HS in Detroit (a very prestigious scientific prep school) and getting his BS in Chemistry from Wayne State. While he went to school he worked as a Tool and Die Maker for Packard at night, putting his chemistry books up on the machine so he could study. He is also the holder of several patents (one for a self destruct compound), worked on developing an Atomic Bomb simulator, a chemical Dosmeter, the B1 Bomber and a host of other DOD aerospace projects as an aerospace engineer.
Daddy was always a good son who listened to his Mother. He always says, "A boys best friend is his Mother." As such he started selling newspapers at night in downtown Detroit when he was 10 years old and gave his paycheck to his Mother till he was 25.
Daddy always listens to my Mother, for when Mother told him to cut off his mustach, he did, When she told him to stop smoking cigars, he did. Of course Daddy never drank cause his Mother told him not to, for it was the sins of the devil..
Speaking of which, if Daddy is a Saint, Grandpa was a HELLION who could be rather volatile. A veritble Union activist and communist sympathizer. Grandpa once threw one of Daddys friends out of the house by the seat of his pants for dissing the Union. Grandpa once pulled a John Wayne by beating up six guys in a Beergarten in Detroit after one of them asked Grandma to dance. The judge fined each of the six $50 and let Grandpa off... Gramdpa was also not shy and once told Henry Ford the 1st that he was crazy and Henry the 2nd on the dais as he was receiving his gold watch for 35 years at Ford, "That they should give a man a car for 35 years and not just a gold watch." Grandpa was a BULL of man who once carried a cast iron stove up a flight of stairs on his back and lifted the front end a 1950 Pontiac out of a pot hole when he was in his mid 50's.
When Daddy brought home a brand new Maroon Packard convertible Grandpa got mad at him for not telling him about it, chasing him artound the car with a ballpeen hammer.
When Grandpa died over 200 people came to his funeral, for he helped out a lot of people during the Depression. Yep Gramps was quiet a guy..
Of course I was always Grandpas favorite...the old man always listened to me...and let me play with his spoons when I came to visit.
