OHHH yeah Grandpa always believed in education, making sure that his sons were well educated, and that was no mean feet back in the day...Grandpa told Daddy and later me, "That they can take everything away from you except what you have in your head."
The truth of the matter is that Grandpa was very intelligent, never had a chance at an education. Some of the things I said you have to place into context for those Poles, German and Russian immigrants had families and were stuck working 6 days a week in the carplants in Detroit. Which before the Union came in were he11holes. So on their days off to let off steam they drank and lived hard...
