My Dad used to say, "Don't worry about making a mistake. The only person who never made a mistake never did anything."
Once, after I had repeated something a fellow had said at great length, he replied, "Ever notice how an empty barrel makes the loudest sound?"
It took me a minute to 'get his drift' on that one.
