Boy, I'm tempted to offer you the Gold-Plated Porsche--it's sitting in the driveway 1+15 from La Guardia--because I wouldn't have the slightest qualms about you and your lady driving it. Hell, I let the neighbors drive it if they express interest, and a local cop acquaintance from the gym is due here tomorrow to take it out on his day off.

But it's a well-modified 26-year-old car with all the potential issues that entails, and I'd hate to ruin your wedding by stranding you in Springfield, or Lowell, or whatever.

Our daughter spent much of her year-at-leisure after college in Oz, and she more recently swam and surfed with the Sydney Surf-Rescue Squad (or maybe it was Bondi or something more specific) to do a magazine article. We're believers.
