The next time you have the header panel off. There is a curved black plastic shiels that runs along the top of the rad. Its purpose is to route the air from the spoiler into the rad vents.
With you addion of the upper vent. When I added the 924turbo header to my 944, I flipped that pamel over so it would expose the new vented area to the radiator. Sorry i do not have a pic. to show you what i mean.
