I've always heard the windows that are leaded glass in a diamond pattern called "mullioned windows".
like this
These are real mullion windows. According to my reading, mullions are vertical structural supports in windows.
So what are the windows above called. If you were going to do a search for them online, what would you search for? I found some stuff that said that they were muntins, but when I search for muntins, I find the common checkerboard pattern that's usually 6 or 9 panes like these
so what the heck are the diamond patterned windows? Would they just be "leaded glass windows"? Is there a specific name for them. I'm not in the market. It's just one of those things, I don't know, and it's killing me.
