bought house in January, moved in 1st of may
just installed the first "upgrade" myself
the left roof window is the same as the right one before upgrade. basically a cheap plastic&thin multiplex roof window held in place with isolation foam..
overall it went reasonably well considering that i have never done any roofing or carpentry...sawed off one vertical support, then braced it horizontally to the neighboring support beams
Then set 2 support beams off that brace and slammed that Velux in there.
roof tiles probably could use some cosmetic trimming, but for now i'm happy with the result.
I'de like to thank the PP BBS because (although i did not post Velux roof questions) without that, i wouldn't have buggered with porsches as a non experienced mechanic, so now i am not afraid to bugger around with other things i'm not experienced in, such as the roof over my head.
