NOTICE to all f/glass stocked M-14's owners
a number (?) of us f/glass stocked M1-A owners have noticed some cracking around the area of where the FULL AUTO selector switch would normally be. barely seen to the eye but w/mag glass evident with receiver in stock. with receiver removed from stock,on the inside area right rear, its obvious as hell to my poor tired eyes.
anyway called springfield and got a very intelligent gun savvy woman who knew her stuff. 10 minute phone call and in the hour a fed ex RGA #(returned goods #)faxed to me and monyana my old stock purchased in late 2004 is returning to springfield and they are shipping out a BRAND NEW GREEN F/GLASS STOCK and GREEN F/GLASS HANDGUARD to match my NEW UBER BUENO FALL FASHION ENSEMBLE!
and that kiddies is why i BUY SPRINGFIELD PRODUCTS(5-now). customer service or auf deutsch "KUNDEN-DIENST!"
off the top of my head.................maybe 800 rds downrange in its life and (1) cow elk. 2nd time entire weapon discombodulated into lil pieces.
simple to check:
pull rear trigger guard down with empty unloaded rifle pointed down and action closed. remove trigger group. while out read m-14 forum about all grease and lube points. replace hammer spring with tubbs chrome silicon spring. TOP TIP
remove stock from receiver. if no budge-ment, tap on interior receiver flat surface with brass flat punch LIGHTLY! hell mine may as well have been BEDDED it was so tight from the factory.
while yer stock is in transit..............
