The one shown is the rare spring loaded folding wing type (limited time in '87) you probably don't have one of these - however the mounting method is essentially the same for all other non-folding wings.
Just ignore the hinge etc comments.
Note the indented area into each side of the underside of the hatch - I'm guessing you don't have this since your hatch was not designed to have this kind of wing - see the shim though - its the same you need. If you look at the shim 'end-on' its thicker on one side then steps down on the other - the thicker side goes on the inside of the hatch nearest the glass and the thinner side goes on the outside on top of the wrapped around outer hatch skin. With the shim in place the back surface becomes flat, well supported & parallel to the front so you can bolt it down without it twisting.
