Yes, historic records (Ice cores) show that atmospheric CO₂ peaks, lag behind global warming peaks by ~800 years. ..Which makes sense considering the slow change of carbonic acid in solution, in the oceans. (that is, as the oceans warm, more carbonic acid comes out of solution, and into the atm. as CO₂ gas)
