The car IS getting excessively hot, however typically when stuck in traffic on a 95 F day (and much hotter off the pavement) with AC on, for 45 minutes or so. What should be expected temp with a basically stock SC?
I have now read a lot of threads on Cool Collars and a lot of the learned Pcar enthusiasts don't have a lot of good things to say about them. Without talking any numbers (Kelvin, Fahrenheit, Celsius or otherwise) I DO see a definite decrease in temp... now I am not sure if that has any adverse effects anywhere else (that heat only has one place to go), but until I decide if I want to install a Carrera Oil Cooler it puts my mind at ease.

PS JMPRO your cooler scoop will be my next attempt at lowering temps. By the way, I think all of these SIMPLE ideas are great and I believe that is what owning one of these older Pcars is all about (amoung other things
).
