Because even a 3 inch barrel, 9mm weighs a lot and is not so easy to conceal. The Keltec P3AT is so small, I have it on me at ALL times, even if I'm carrying something else.
20-25 oz 9mm vs 12 oz 380ACP, when you are having the summer picnic and wearing shorts? For me, it is an easy choice. 380ACP

In the "winter" time, when I can cover things up more easily, the choice is easy, full size 1911 in 45ACP. Cause bigger is always better, when you can have bigger.
My "Car" carry, what I keep in the car, is a Browning HP, with 13 rnd mags. Pleanty of power, lots of rounds, fits in the center console.
