My wife and kids get the flu shots most years. They don't get flu, either from the shot or otherwise.
I never get the shot. I get flu maybe once every three years. I kind of like it, actually - stay home, feel sorry for myself, eat a lot (flu makes me hungry), watch TV in a dazed state. Lasts a day or two.
