If Lance was 5 years younger I would be on board.
Contador and the many others are just getting better/stronger. Remember Lance getting smoked by Indurain in that time trial. It took years and 100Ks miles before Lance matured to his peak ability. IMO he is on the decent of that peak - lofty as it is.
I watched the entire race this year and still think that Lance would have bridged that first 1:30 gap by Contador if he had the legs to do so. After all, if Contador was indeed going against JB's wishes, then Lance would have had the green light. The results of the TT today only underscore my point.
Put your money on Lance next year if you want. Hell maybe LeMond will lose 30 lbs and re-enter the race too.
All this interest in the TdF has re-ignited my riding desire. I just need to get a road bike
