yeah, the part in the picture isn't good at all--
ww should follow up with a good part at the least.
I've shipped some "less than great" parts before, but with absolute disclosure to the best of my ability. sometimes, the parts are not what we want them to be, but it's better to disclose any discrepancies if possible.
hopefully, Mason will make it right for you.
