I'd put a talbot durant style bullet mirror on it. Some H4's, Deep sixes or minilites, Ditch the trim, it's wrong anyway. Give it the 1" tape trim and porsche sidescript, Euro turn signal lenses, grill through or mounted fog lamps. New rubber, and a tune up and the car will feel amazing.
at least that's what I'd do.

I'd NEVER put a duck on a 912 by the way. that just seems weird to me. I'd go for a more period 911r sport flavoring. and if you replace any panels, you can't match the patina in the paint. so why do it.
