I second the Banana Republic suggestion. Great cut, reasonably priced, and they hold up quite well. Lately I've been in a plain white t-shirt and jeans or cargo khaki mode. No logos, fake pub/surf shop signs, ornate graphics or any of that crap.
One day, when I was mowing the lawn, my 85 year old neighbor commented that I looked like I was from the early 60s with my choice of attire and mower (manual reel cut)
