I got busted twice, neither was good
1 I was at a friends house, we had ditched school. When his mom popped in there was enough empty beercans laying around to make several intake manifolds. I was the one with the Tokemaster between the knees. She flipped out and yelled at me to leave, I parted company with the residence very fast. She was in such a huff she never did ask who I was so my parents were never called. My buddy did a stint in rehab. He never dimed me out.
2 I was coming home from a Friday night out on the town with friends, I was beyond drunk and had no biz driving, I had no biz walking. I was talking to my dad on the cb the whole way home. He knew I was drunk before I hit the driveway. When I went to open the door, it was ripped out of my hand, I magically became airborne across the kitchen, then to my surprise I realized that yes indeed I was sliding on my back down the hallway and stopped after I had slid past 4 bedroom doors and stopped against the wall. As I was trying to figure out where all these new magical powers were coming from I found myself levitating against the wall and realized that that very angry face belonged to my dad. I recon I should mention that my dad played middle linebacker for Navy and the years had done nothing to diminish his size or strength. He just looked at me and said, "no, I won't do this" he dusted me off and sent me to bed. I awoke the next morning at 5am to the sound of my father telling me I had 15 mins to brush my teeth and get something to eat and I was to meet him in the back yard. I was handed a weedeater, not the gas powered kind but the old school golf club kind and was instructed as to where I was to start and where to be when I was finished. I spent the day, hungover, in the hot august sun, cleaning the ditches in front of the house and all through the woods. Needless to say, we never had that problem again.
I told him later I would have rather he just beat the daylights out of me, his comment was that I would never learn that way. He is a very smart man.
