Congrats, a tremendous time to snatch up these old gems. My wife and I bought our first house 2 winters ago, a 1905 crossgable two blocks from the cbd. Though we didn't get as good of a deal as you did (since prices were still strong at the time), fortunately for us the seller
gave us the house at 40K under asking due to her need to liquidate everything she owned.
Now there are foreclosures popping up
everywhere around here, and it's really gnawing at me that I don't have the capital to snatch up another house.
Word on the street is that this 1890 victorian gothic around the corner from me is about to go on the market for 99K.....99K!
