Sitting in my garage, full belly of sushi, enjoying a Montecristo Cabnet Selection cigar, sipping a Fat Tire from New Belgium Brewery. I know this brewery well. I have been to Fort Collins a few times - they are a great customer and I have enjoyed many a free brews with the brewmaster Jeff. Listening to Selected Shorts on NPR, listening to talent. Maybe someday. Thinking of all that I have and greatful - a good stable of rides, the stocked garage, great friends and family, a nice home, a job and the frame of a sidehouse walk, waiting for a concrete dump this week that will lead to a now half finished pool and patio that takes up our complete backyard. Sixtyfive thousand dollars worth of civil engineering, labor, Ceder, rebar and Gunite. A place for the family to retreat eleven months out of the year. Sixtyfive thousand dollars, earned by ghostwriting, earmarked for a Pelican surprise Caymen - instead, spent on the family much deserved.
The Caymen will have to wait. Asking God if the choice I made was the right choice...then suddenly...
I knew the choice was just.
