A perfect example of the difference between "subjects" and "citizens".

Our own country is hurtling towards a UK-style form of government with alarming speed (insanely high taxes, regulation of everything to the point of paralyzing daily life, a feeble, disarmed and helpless populace, bumbling government bureaucrats for every activity, etc.)

I love British culture but I don't think there's any way I could actually live in GBR. Way, way too over-regulated as a society. Exactly what we're becoming.
