How often do you have a storm there though that could level the house in under a minute?

But it's not temporary, since I had the same experience for 6 months now....
I realize that the taxes are high, but I thought they would be 2 % anually, based on the price? Also, insurance is an issue, and I thought it would be expensive but I figured a couple of grand would do. How much is it? $5k? Maybe the canal front homes are considered a flood zone.
It's crazy, my home in Sweden costs about $600 a year to fully insure, and it is appraised to double what my second home will cost.
