Just a few days ago I was fiddling with the car and opened the fuel filler door having a look-see. At that instant I thought about this subject. I would drive away from any station where I had to let anyone pump gas into that car. I could just see a guy bouncing the nozzle off the fender, scratching, denting, etc. despite the protective flap that's there.
