Wow, thanks to all of you. That is very helpful information! I liked the zillow and trulia web sites, even though they are missing some of the more recent listings, as well as still displaying sold ones. Map search is wonderful for someone not familiar with the area.

One especially interesting thing is the zillow which show both sold and for sale properties. One property showed both, recent $307k sale and now relisted for $695k. At least someone might be making money...

So you have 5,3 % interest rates in the US? I'm lending money on my home over here, paying no more than 1,53 %. At least, three things cheaper over here, home taxes (fixed $1000 per year),rates and insurance. But we do pay 35 % in income tax. Ususally everything is way cheaper in the US.

I have now contacted a realtor, that showed us some condos a couple of years ago, so now we get the listings automatically. Not that many yet, though.

WilsonTC, I have the normal IE 7, so it should work.
