V1 is fantastic.
The only situation I can think of where it might not help is if you're running solo wide open on an otherwise empty road and the cop up ahead doesn't have his radar "on" to give you early warning. That's where prudence/common sense comes into play. However from a practical standpoint, this never happens (at least not within 200 miles of L.A.) so it's moot. There's ALWAYS another car around, so not really an issue for practical purposes.
Laser can be legally jammed. That's a non-issue.
