Mmmm... litter box is in the garage and moving it indoors isn't an option. These are pretty nice kitties--American shorthairs, brother and sister we rescued from a shelter. We're not comfortable with letting them out of doors as every time we've tried it they disappear chasing the first bird or bug that catches their attention.

#2--cheapo car cover from Walmart is soft enough for your ride, and not expensive enough for you to worry about the cats walking/pissing/crapping on it. it's washable as well.

I'll check one of these out. So far there hasn't been any problem with them thinking "outside the box"--and hopefully there never will be! That would demote them from "good kitty" status immediately.

#3--keep the dogs out of the garage--yes, they too, will get onto of your 928--ask me how I know.

No dogs... I wanted one, but we're not home enough. When we move to New Mexico, yes!

#4--ALWAYS KEEP THE WINDOWS UP. last thing you want is cat pee/poop in your ride.

Hadn't thought of that....mmmm...let me go down right now and make sure they're closed. Haven't seen any evidence of inside the car visitations yet--knock on wood!

your cats (except for cheetahs--their claws do not retract) will not use their claws to go up and down, except when scaling trees and such. your 928 is low enough that even the smallest domestic cat can easily jump directly upon it. however, dogs have no choice.

Well, I'll cancel my cheetah order then...

What I'm worried about is them losing their balance and sliding across the roof or hood and extending their hind claws to brake themselves.

paw prints are bad enough, claw scratches are much, much worse......

Hopefully that never happens....mmmm... they DO have pretty nice, soft pelts though. If they commit any "capital crime" (scratching up Sharky) I'll use them to polish them out. I'm explaining all this to them as we speak....they are listening intently.
Thanks, Russ!
