it will be interesting to see how the future events unfold. The organizer, steve earle is retiring (or being retired by outside forces, if you believe some stories!) after 36 years of putting this event on.
The new guys are true racers and we will see how the change takes effect.
This is similar to the Chicago Historic Races that used to be put on by one individual and he got squeezed out. I cannot comment how it got better, or worse, but that event lives on
Regarding the parade laps, some of you may have noticed the sheriff escorts to keep speeds down and the flow even. In the past , some individuals who shall remain nameless
, took to slowing waaay down so they could send their RSR's thru the corkscrew at speed during the parade laps.
