A lot of these old movies don't hold up today.

My daughter alternates between rolling in laughter and comatose with boredom when I watch some of the old classics. Most recently, Bruce Lee's Enter The Dragon. The only way I could keep her interested was by explaining the deep emotional content and character development, all of which I had to invent from thin air. Before that, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Daddy, its like our TV is broken, nothing is happening! But there is hope for her. She acknowledged that Blade Runner was visually impressive and interesting in a gloomy sort of way.
