oh...ow. It makes me cringe when I hear things like that. I've heard several people say that.
The way I got around that type of thinking is I gave the keys to the 911 to my wife when I bought it. I also planned the purchase around her birthday. Now it's "her birthday present" and I still drive it.
She loves the car and wouldn't trade it for anything now.
