I'm guessing that eBay let's add to the comments section of your listings without cancelling the whole auction with a minute to go. If you need more than a dollar for the part, put a min starting bid on it that you will be comfortable with. If it sells it sells, and all are happy. If nobody wants it at that price, nobody is hurt.
I don't need to open a sailboat widgets business on eBay. Funding here is adequate from fees, royalties, licenses and rent. No need to be stuck in the eBay business ruts. At least for now. Keep paying your power bills please and all will be fine here.
