I couldn't agree more. That was when a BMW looked like a BMW. After the E28 and E30 series, things went rapidly downhill. I wouldn't drive a modern BMW if you gave it to me for free.
I'd suggest a 15 inch wheel, not a 14. Better tire selection, better looks. I'm also a fan of the basket weave style wheel, as on that 323i. That was the first BMW I considered buying. Neat cars.
