Sorry to hear about your engine. i don't even want to imagine what the sounds were like:-(
Good luck getting the BMW past your wife.
I've put another 1200 miles on the car since i cleaned the intakes and the water level seems to be stable. I think the level changes i see are from how long its rested when I checked. These engines seem to take a long time to cool.
