I have the same car, with the same problems. I none year I have:
installed new injectors,
replaced fuel pump,
replaced fuel pump relay,
relocated fuel pump
cleaned gas tank and lines
fixed or replaced every vacuum line
replaced distributor, wires, plugs, coil,
replaced Head temp sensor twice!

The head temp sensor was the latest fault. Which had the same symptom as the bad fuel pump relay, the dirty tank, the dirty lines, the vapor lock,

The hardest part is having the same difficulty over and over but a different cause each time.

Many times I wanted to give up and sell the thing, or at elast switch to carbs. But now I know the carbs would not have fixed the problem, (I thought it was the ECU) and now that it all works, it is GREAT to drive!
