I just tried playing with the shaft coupling. There is only about 1/4 gap between shafts. I tried moving the main shaft forward and backward but it kept free spinning into the bellhousing. All the pressure plate bolts are in where they are supposed to be. There is about an 1/8 of an inch gap between the torque tube and the bellhousing, but I don't think that would be enought to dissengage it from the clutch.
What are all the possiblities of why the drive shaft would spin freely going into the bellhousing??? could it be a broken pressure plate?
