I will certainly do the splines. I always did them on my GS when I did FD service.
I change my fluids often because I live in a very hot, arid climate and do a lot of short and long trips on my bike. In a given week I may only put 20 miles on the bike in 10 trips and then 400 miles on Saturday. I have never not ridden somewhere because it was too hot out. These days my temp gauge is usually one or two tick marks away from the top. Since I DIY just about everything, cost is not much of an issue. If I had to use the stealer, then I'd not be able to afford this bike.
