I have three kids, 18, 16 and 8 years old. The little one has grown up in a house full of teenagers. Much to the consternation of her teachers, Brynn does NOT communicate like an 8 year old.
Brynn has a great appetite and eats pretty much everything we put on the table. Last night we had sliced heirloom tomatoes with soft mozzarella and fresh basil. Brynn wanted no part of it. I told her that was fine, but there would be no desert.
After an animated and tearful exchange, Brynn sat at the table with an unchewed mouthful of tomato and cheese with tears running down her face. She looked truly pathetic. Eventually she turned to me and said; "You think this is
OK? What's
wrong with you?
I laughed so hard I cried. I feel so very sorry for her teachers.
