The kenwood is garmin based, once you figure out its menu system it's easy to use.
The pioneers are nice, simple to use, the double din units are pretty bulletproof.....
Alpine and clarion both make decent units but I've found the kenwood and pioneer to be less problematic due to everything being in the main unit (not a separate nav brain)
Your factory xm will not integrate with anything aftermarket, if you have a plug and play type xm tuner you can feed the audio strait into any aftermarket nav through the aux input. They will all work with an ipod with the mfg's proper cable/black box.....the i-phone does not work with every unit so be specific about what ipod and version you have when purchasing.
