I have 4 years daily driving a 964 and 3 years daily driving a 993 in DFW. I commuted from Plano to Richardson which is about 13 miles. The car does get warm, and in traffic hot! The car did fine. I once drove to school in a 964 C2 when it snowed in Dallas! The only lacking part of the commute was the AC in the 964 (993 was better).
Anyway, the best part of my working days are driving to work and driving back home!
