Do any of youse Pelicans have experience with some of the portable in home chin-up bars? We're in an apartment with no yard or garage, so we need to keep it basic.
I've seen three types (not advocating these specific pieces, but the general style instead):
http://www.amazon.com/Amber-VKR-Tower-Space-Saver/dp/B000KU7WZ6/ref=pd_sbs_sg_4 Stand alone tower, might be the best option, but it'll take up lots of room.

http://www.amazon.com/All-one-Stand-Alone-Pull/dp/B001KUURTS/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1253113108&sr=1-23 big stand alone type, which can be taken apart. Some have room for 2 people at once.
Do the over-the-door style really mar up finishes that much? It's not going to be used for 2 hours a day every day, it's going to be used when I get off my lazy butt and use it. Obviously I'd rather spend $50 than $250 right now on this, but if the door ones are just crappy gimmicks, tell me.
